You must have taken the NCTA Newborn Care Specialist Workshop to take this add-on course. Verification of the NCS course will be performed and we will not issue refunds for students who sign up for the add-on course and access to the postpartum doula add-on will be revoked.
Our online program isĀ evidence-based, self-paced, and available 24/7. Each section contains an audiovisual PowerPoint andĀ is led by a lead instructor. At the end of the course, you will take a multiple choice exam to earn your certificate of completion. Students must complete coursework AND examination to receive their certificate of completion.
The cost of the program is $50. The course includes online access to course material and a certificate of completion upon passing the final exam.
Ā Students can now apply for certification through The Newborn Care Training Academy and our partnership with the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP). Students are not required to apply for certification. However, a certificate of completion is necessary to begin the certification process.

Haleigh Almquist
Haleigh began working as a nanny in 2002 before she became an Newborn Care Specialist in 2007. Haleigh foundedĀ Hush Little Baby, LLC, a newborn care company providing elite Newborn Specialists nationwide. While searching for staff to be apart of Hush Little Baby, Haleigh realized the shortage of newborn care education being offered to potential newborn professionals. Haleigh is an Advanced Certified Newborn Care Specialist, previously Certified Lactation Counselor, and DONA trained Postpartum Doula. Haleigh joined with Brittany in 2013 to provide students interested in newborn care the opportunity for hands on and online learning through the Newborn Care Training Academy. Haleigh is excited to share her knowledge about newborn care with professionals across the world.
